Duodecimo. lxxiii (including two folding tables), 564pp (543-64pp being related advertisements). Full contemporary calf, raised bands and gilt title on spine; the spine and extremities rubbed and a little faded, some light marks on the boards. The tinted edges a trifle silverfished, a little foxing on the endpapers otherwise clean throughout. Top corners of a3/4 & a5/6 with printer's mistrimming, not affecting the text. A nice copy - good to very good. *** Containing lists of the Company's servants, at home and abroad, civil, military and marine, with their respective appointments; with indexes to the same, and lists of casualties during the last year. Lists of the European mariners &c not in the service of the East-India Company. Regulations and instructions respecting the appointment of writers, cadets, and assistant surgeons. The edition limited to 300 copies printed in Perpetua type on Arnold's hand-made paper: this is no 277. 4to. 209pp, 6 double page plates (one a reproduction of two pages of the manuscript), endpaper maps from a contemporary Mercator atlas. Original cloth-backed batik boards, the corners a little rubbed. Bookplate of the press, and owner's small blind-stamp on preliminary blank. A little foxing on the endpapers, top edges dulled, otherwise a nice clean copy. Very good. ***Lacombe's travels took place in 1668-76.
