Original navy blue cloth with gilt illustration and titling, the front titling on a white leather label (rubbing on extremities and back, spine faded). Top edges gilt, other edges discoloured and spotted. Spotting on endpapers, half title, verso of frontispiece, dedication page, and last page. Some slight dusty marking on title page. Occasional spotting in extremity of a gutter, but otherwise interior clean and fresh. Owner's name, and address stamp, on front free endpaper and verso half-title. Very good to good+. ***title continues: ..and some sporting reminiscences of H.R.H. the late Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

Lacks rear free endpaper, the others spotted, offsetting on half-title and last page, spotting on frontispiece and its tissue guard (though spots mostly clear of the image), title page lightly spotted, occasional small line in margin, but otherwise interior clean and fresh. Top page corners bumped throughout most of the volume. Good.
