Original dark blue cloth with gilt titling (rubbed, corners worn, 20 mm tear at head of spine). Hinges loosening a little. Top edges gilt, other edges discoloured and spotted. Lacks rear free endpaper, the others spotted, offsetting on half-title and last page, spotting on frontispiece and its tissue guard (though spots mostly clear of the image), title page lightly spotted, occasional small line in margin, but otherwise interior clean and fresh. Top page corners bumped throughout most of the volume. A good copy.
