in THRAPP 33/3, pp103-9, full-page illustration. Stapled in stiff wrappers, as issued. ***Murphy arrived in the Australian colonies in 1842, serving in NSW, Port Phillip and VDL. His art work came to notice in the mid-1850s: eight examples have been identified, including one of the 1857 Hobart Town Regatta. He later left the military but stayed in the colonies, moving to Victoria and establishing a signwriting and plastering business.
