Facsimile: first published by Whitcombe & Tombs as No.7 in the New Zealand Booklet Series, 1906. Here presented in a papered box with the cover of the booklet laid onto the lid, and accompanied by a 12pp booklet 'Charles Reginald Ford 1880-1972: notes on an adventurous life' by Crispin de Boos; a coloured reproduction of 4pp (285x215mm) advertisement for the graphic lecture 'Farthest South' presented by Ford in Australia (J.C. Williamson was the promotor); and two reproduction Antarctic postcards. Ford's booklet is 140x95mm, stapled in overhanging wrappers, 32pp,(last colophon only), 13 b&w photographic illustrations. Printed at the foot of the title-page are 'To....' and From....' sections; these have not been inscribed in the copy used for this facsimile. Fine - a new copy. ***Ford's account is one of the few publications by members of Scott's 'Discovery' expedition.
